It's not a gear box, it's called a jackshaft. The chain runs from the cranks, on the left hand side, up to a sprocket that it on a shaft that travels through the bike's main pivot. On the other end is another sprocket which the right hand chain runs around and back to the rear derailleur. Awesome system that pedals extremely well through anything. Pedaling has basically no affect on the suspension

It's a Hood Mussel, steel frame made from FBM's Angel of Death tubeset and the fork is an Avalanche MTN-8.

Brooklyn Machine Works Race Link. This one was an 05, sweet build.

The Scream didn't come out until 2002, so you have an 02 or 03. Nice bike man

It was at first, but the pull shock liked to blow up. This is what it became.

It was Leigh Donovan's 2001 Schwinn Straight 8, her Worlds bike if I remember correctly.

Well, all of those big Brooklyn downhill bikes are Doc's creations as well, this is just the evolved form of the Race Link.

Simple, I'm far more comfortable on the Sunday than I ever have been on any bike. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the R9, but to get the geometry I wanted out of it I sacrificed way too much (small bump compliance as well as warranty if I had left the smaller shock on). The Sunday has everything I want; exact geometry, suspension and ergonomics. Dunno, the bike just suits me.

Buy the R9!!!

It's the Brooklyn Machine Works Big Link or the Hitman (it was the original Hitman).

Thanks, and maybe I9's. It depends on if I have the money for 'em. Avalanche shock is next, along with a fresh powdercoat (orange and black, gonna be sweet).

Bar wrap has a somewhat sticky center. It's clingy though, especially when you wrap it tightly. It's also taped off at the end, near the chainguide.

It's actually bar wrap for a road bike. Got bored at the shop and saw it laying around, figured it would be a nice change from the old inner tube I had on there.

Oh, and it's an 05, not an 06. I had the same year Sunday, but that's besides the point. They kick ass, and someone should snatch this one up at such a killer price!

No, it is a large. I owned a medium Sunday for two years, my friend rides a large. Measure the seat tube length, it will be 19", which is a large. The medium's ST/TT gusset is much, much smaller.

Hey, thanks man. I like it too, just need a new crown so I can run an integrated stem. Oh, and I was able to find one bump stop for the Boxxer. If you want it, message me your address and I'll send it to you. Thanks for the nice words!

I do believe I have the fork's bump stops so you can get that ugly bubble wrap off of there. I'll take a look when I get home from work today. Build looks good so far!

Just so you know, that frame is not an 04, it's an 02 or 03. In 04 they changed the dropouts from the horizontal ones on your frame, they routed the cables under the top tube and they switched to a 1 piece CNC'd BB/shockmount. Sweet bike though, makes me kind of miss mine.

The original Army frame wasn't even heavy. It weighed in at about 10.5lbs with shock. People just built them up as hucksicles.

I was going to, but the prices of them just got a little ridiculous. Just not a good deal for what I would have been getting.

Hahahahhahaa.... snap the Race Link's headtube? Those things are so overbuilt now it's ridiculous. Maybe if it was one of the original 14 that Avy *might* have something to do with the headtube breaking. But definitely not on this.

Smash my frame? The bb is pretty tall, about 15". The only way it's going to get hit is if a rock flings up and hits it... which happened... But yeah, with the jackshaft, I could get away with running a stupid low bb.

I need it gone, and people just don't seem too interested at a higher price point.
